霧林讓他們看到他們想看到的，
他們各自被自己幻影誤惑著，冒死抓住悲哀裏的喜悅。

The cloud forest shows them what they want to see
Knowing that enchanting phantom deceives
Still yearning to grasp the joy of sorrow


Inspired by the story of Narcissus and Echo from The Metamorphoses, the two characters are depicted in contemporary form to symbolise two extremes of dating attitudes.

Echo, who could only repeat the last sentence of others’ words, represents those who yearn to be loved, blindly chasing after people who do not love them back. Their impulse blind them from seeing who their person really is, causing their own despair.

Narcissus was fixed with his own charm, that he could not help but look at his own reflection for the remainder of his life. His character aligns with those who are obsessed with themselves, obstinate and ignorant.

Neither of the two knows how to truly love. Both are enchanted by their own preconceptions and get lost in the maze of obsession.
